Our retirement plan is to do the great loop, then take it from there. The map below shows where we are and where we have been.
The great loop is a "lap" around the eastern United States while travelling by water. Our route will take us from Ottawa to lake Michigan, down the Mississippi river and the Ten Tom waterway to the Gulf of Mexico. From there we will travel to the Bahamas, and then return to Canada via the Intracoastal Waterway. The journey should take about a year.
