The Christmas winds made the Bahamas crossing problematic, so we decided to stay in Jacksonville for a while so we could be with friends and save some money on longer-term dockage. Well, the weather has been very cold, there has been snow in Florida this year, and so we decided to head home to Canada for a while.
We booked a space to store iFloat on the hard while we are away. We spent our last few days getting her ready for storage. This means removing everything from the refrigerator and freezers, as well as getting rid of any food stored in soft packages (boxes or bags). We went through the boat checking and cleaning all the bilges, and securing things on the deck.
